Samples of fused glass projects. These were made to benefit our Rescue Fund at the Veterinary hospital and the proceeds go to those furry friends we care for who have no other care givers. That's included, over the years, a wild turkey who had been hit by a car. She recovered after a week or so. Her friend came and got her. It was quite wonderful. Or the four pups who had been poorly cared for and taken by Animal Control. Dr. Mills took them home and cared for them until she found forever homes for them. They still come to visit. :) There have been kittens and ducks and the occasional mouse or rabbit or ...
The top slideshow has two very special dogs and their paw prints in glass. They allowed us to roll their pads with child safe ink and press them to paper. I then cut out the pattern of their prints and recreated them in glass.
The bottom slideshow is of all the 'generic' paw prints in glass I've made using different types of glass. People really enjoy them and they know they are donating to a good cause. I've had the opportunity to try different fusing schedules, glass and techniques. It's a win-win.
