These pawprint hearts were made to benefit our Rescue Fund at the Veterinary hospital. The proceeds go to those furry friends we care for who have no other care givers. That's included, over the years, a wild turkey who'd been hit by a car. She recovered, and her turkey friend came to get her. Or the four pups who had been taken by Animal Control. Dr. Mills took them home and cared for them until she found them forever homes. Or the duck who needed a safe place to recover. There have been kittens and the occasional mouse or rabbit and even a snake once.
This next slideshow has two very special dogs and their paw prints in glass. They allowed us to roll their pads with child safe ink and press them to paper. I then cut out the pattern of their prints and recreated them in glass.
And below is a sampling of the different things I have created over the years with fusing glass.
